The Fifth Season of Orphan Black Will Be Its Last

Sad news, Clone Club. Ahead of Orphan Black’s season four finale tonight, BBC America has confirmed the show will be back for another season—but it will also be its last.

In a press release issued today, the channel confirmed that the fifth season’s 10 episodes will serve as the show’s end. After three years of being a gripping sci-fi drama—and a never-ending highlight reel of Tatiana Maslany’s outstanding performance as Sarah and the host of Leda clones that shared her face—it seems like the show is at least coming to a natural conclusion than being abruptly canceled. Here’s co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson on the show coming to its end:

We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters. The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC America and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high.
