The LG Watch Urbane 2 was notable among many other Android Wearables because of what’s inside: a cellular radio. But due to an unidentified ‘quality issue’, LG is pulling the watch from stores, offering refunds, and cancelling the worldwide rollout.

The Watch Urbane 2 went on sale through AT&T last week, and was meant to be hitting Verizon stores today. AT&T customers who bought the device are being offered a refund, while Verizon apparently isn’t delivering the watch to customers. LG hasn’t said if or when it will ever go on sale.

It’s a real shame that the Urbane 2 has been stillborn: whether it was good or not, it was something a little different in an Android Wear market that’s already been stagnating. But even so, it’s a sound move from LG to acknowledge a problem and pull the device, rather than telling us we were all wearing it wrong.

What a shame, I was really looking forward to wearing my LG Watch Keith Urbane 2 watch.
