This is Digi Grotesk. On the suface it might not look like much. But it’s the first font that could truly call itself digital.
Digi Grotesk was derived from other fonts by a German businessman in 1931. As our friends at Buzzfeed explain, the font wasn’t developed for computers, which didn’t exist until 1968. Instead of revolutionizing the way we saw words on screens, the font was actually used in the first digital typesetting system, which changed the business of printing words on paper forever.
