The iPod clones keep coming. The latest is the BA1000 from Bantam Interactive, which comes with a built-in MP3 recorder, so you can record directly from a CD player or turntable without having to use a PC. Comes in a 5GB and a 2GB version, has a built-in FM tuner (that you can record from as well!), and uses USB 2.0 for file transfer.
