BRENDAN I. KOERNER — At the M3 digital music conference down in Miami, Motorola has announced its first Linux-based mobile handset outside the Far East. The E680 is loaded: A VGA digicam, rich color screen, RealPlayer video, and 3D stereo sound. On the downside, Motorola also announced that MTV will be providing “exclusive content” for the handset. If they ever, ever send me a Nickelback song, that handset’s going straight into the Hudson. (And, yes, we’re doing bylines now — why should Joel get all the credit?)
