Several readers wrote in about a very large new gadget, LG’s Multi-Media Refrigerator, which is sure to be find a place in the kitchen of any extremely wealthy gadget freak. It’s a full-sized 25.5 cubic feet refrigerator with a 15.1″ LCD display on the front for watching TV or surfing the web (not sure though why anyone would want to do any of these from the front of a refrigerator), a built-in digital camera(?!), and it keeps track of stored food and expiration dates. This last feature is mentiond in every “smarthome of the future” article, but is there really any demand for this? The sheer folly of it aside, the Multi-Media Refrigerator will likely be very effective at both impressing and confusing houseguests.
