The second Smartphone?

By

Reading time 1 minute

A couple of conflicting stories about what is supposed to be the second phone to run Microsoft’s Smartphone operating system, the long-awaited Tanager from HTC, aka the Orange SPVx, aka the Orange SPV e100. CoolSmartPhone reports that it’s finally going to come out in Europe on June 21st, but the Inquirer thinks the Tanager might already be dead and that Orange will drop the phone from its lineup before it ever comes out. They don’t have much to back this up, however, except the news from last week that T-Mobile had ditched the Tanager, something that quickly turned out to be false. It is true that the original Smartphone, the Orange SPV, hasn’t sold as well as hoped, so the real reason the Tanager has been delayed is probably that Orange just wants to get rid of as many of the SPVs as possible before coming out with its successor.
