Banned Books Week is long over, but celebrate the people's failure to suppress and censor literature by checking out this great infographic. It explains which country banned which books, why, and for how long. And there's a special bonus list of the hilariously dumb reasons some classic children's books were banned, too!

I'd consider the Communist Manifesto to be a special ban-worthy case, like Mein Kampf. Both are delusional ramblings taken as scripture by half-wits who would rather have a scapegoat (the Jews in one case, anyone who makes more money than you do in the other) to blame for every ill in their lives than do any work to improve themselves. Both are connected to regimes which killed millions in addition to imposing human rights violations and general suffering on even more.

(Yes, the same could and undoubtedly will be said about the Bible, but I'm staying out of that mess)
