Business Week has described some of the office gizmos of the future, with the requisite giant displays, stress-sensing chairs, and, well, giant displays. To be fair, there are some good ideas in there, too, such as the automatic summarizing programs that can condense large articles into just a few salient sentences—part of the growing collection of technologies that would make me obsolete if they weren’t always a constant five-to-ten years away.
