Last night, we learned that Cult is the subtitle of American Horror Story’s seventh season, which is themed around the 2016 presidential election and will apparently involve the return of Freak Show’s dreaded Twisty the Clown. Now we’ve got our first teaser. And indeed, it is bursting with evil clowns.

It also plays off the cult theme (“Do you ever feel alone? Does it seem like no one really understands you? Join us!”) very heavily. However—as is American Horror Story tradition—the spooky promo reveals zero concrete details about plot or characters. We’ll have to wait until September 5, when the FX show returns, to find out anything about that.
