Pencils are decidedly simple instruments, used for the sole purpose of writing and drawing, but applications in which we use them in our daily lives are becoming increasingly niche. What if they had an added function?
The added tools found in Trevor Duncan's Pencil Works—on display at NYC's International Contemporary Furniture Fair—include handsaws, magnifying glasses, picks and paintbruhes. These pencils still probably won't be of much use to the vast majority of us in our day-to-day lives, but it's hard to deny that the system of interchangeable parts makes for a gorgeous collection.
