Sculptor Wood-Splitter-Lee creates furry and feathered beasts that are strikingly unnatural: wolf-stag hybrids, cats covered in butterfly wings, and masked wolves with blue and green fur. But she gives her sculptures such a convincing anatomy and such remarkable animal expressiveness that they seem ready to take a breath.
On top of being rather gorgeous, many of Lee’s sculptures are also posable. She also occasionally auctions them off on eBay, though she doesn’t appear to have any auctions up at the moment.
