Attention all sophisticated super freaks: this one's for you. Say hello to the Disco Dish, a flashy light fixture from the off-kilter creative mind of Dutch designer Bertjan Pot.

The series is a new take on his Disco Dome pendants, that flipped the familiar glitter ball inside out; these are two new models—floor and pendant—and they are not for the faint of heart, timid of style, or short of space.

Each saucer measures almost three-feet in diameter (!), adorned with a staggering number of teensy mirrored squares. I'm getting space age Hollywood by way of Saturday Night Fever vibes, plus some of this pizzeria—kitschy and classy—and you know what? I'm loving it.

As tech gets better and bulbs keep shrinking, fixtures have followed suit. For the most part, this is great news—especially for folks who live in teensy studio apartments—but it's fun to see someone embrace an ultra-bold, shamelessly groovy aesthetic.

I mean, c'mon, look at that. I bet you're gifted with the meaning of life if you stare into it when it's on. Or you'll go blind. I wouldn't recommend it.
