It looks like Qmx is on a Firefly kick lately, and browncoats are definitely making good from it - but while this new 'Artisan' Serenity might lack in the 'aww' factor like their recent, huggable offering, it certainly makes up for it with the wow factor.

The massive replica of Captain Mal's ship is in 1:125 scale and is created directly from the 3D models made for its appearance in the 2005 movie Serenity, and as the name implies, is hand made for each order in a process that takes roughly 130 hours.

The replica is packed full of electronics to light up both the ship's interior and exterior (controlled by a remote!), and has plenty of moving pieces for you to fiddle about with, from rotating engines to the ship's Cargo bay door. There's even 9 little itty-bitty models of the crew hanging around in there too! The exquisite detailing doesn't just extend to the Serenity, but it's base as well - the whole gorram thing lights up and is layered over a translight insert of a Nebula, to recreate the effect of the ship flying through the 'Verse. As far as Firefly Merch goes, this is definitely amongst the shiniest.

It's also the most expensive by a long shot - the model will set you back a whopping $7,495. Yeeowch. That kind of money doesn't just get you a mahoosive, swanky replica of the Serenity though, it also nets you a personal concierge from Qmx, to help process your order and add custom details to it, like where you want each little crewmember model to be placed in the ship, or the finish of your display base. You know, the important things that come with spending seven and a half thousand dollars on a badass spaceship replica.

If you've got the money to burn and a 1:125 scale Serenity-shaped hole in your life, you can preorder the Artisan Serenity at the link below. Act fast though - Qmx are only ever going to make 500 of these replicas, so it's not only the prettiest, most expensive Firefly product you can buy, but one of the rarest too.
