The Beeb has a story that will surely shock your mind: people throw away old gadgets. According to recent studys, 16 to 34-year-olds expect to upgrade their mobiles and DVD players every three years. Over half also admitted to purchasing gadgetry based on what they felt was in fashion at the time. You all know this already. It made me wonder how many people are actually trying to recycle or reuse their old gadgets, though, or at least pass them on to those that can. I’m sure there are people in developing countries who would love to have your cast off phones and laptops. Have you found better retirement for your gear than throwing it away?
