Winsor McCay's Little Nemo was an iconic comic strip first drawn in 1905. Today's Google Doodle celebrates the cartoon in an animated strip which sees Little Nemo embark on an adventure through Google-Land.


McCay's a hugely celebrated cartoonist and arguably inspired much of the work of Walt Disney numerous other animators along the way. The Google Doodle celebrates the 107th anniversary of Little Nemo in Slumberland. It's a fun and accurate take on his work—check it out. [Google]

I honestly never knew this was a comic strip. Little Nemo The Dream Master was always one of my favorite NES games, though. It always felt like it was based on an animated film that I had never seen, but I never really looked into it.
