Toshiba has officially announced its Tecra M4 Tablet PC, the first Tecra-branded tablet from the company (for better or for worse). The Tecra M4 has a 14-inch 1,400 by 1,040 pixel display, a 1.7GHz Pentium M, and a built-in DVD DL drive. It looks decent enough in all the specs, really, and has a purported 3-hour battery life. There are lots of strange intangibles that affect Tablet PCs that don’t come into as much definition with a regular laptop, though, so it’s best to wait for a proper, hands-on review before you plunk down $2k to pick one up.
