Trackir: Best Flight Sim Accessory Since the Refrigerator Box

I want to smash the Trackir tracking system for being a superfluous, dork-oriented gaming appendage, and it totally is, but in the sort of way of way that makes me want to play flight simulators again just to toy around with it. The Trackir (on version 2 now) is a $129 infrared camera system that tracks a reflective sticker that you mount on your hat, glasses, or (here comes some dork) right on your forehead. Move your head around, and your point-of-view moves around as well, helping to flesh out your fantasy that you’re really an ace fighter pilot, and that your runway underwear are actually futuristic 9G SpaceBriefs. The Trackir only fully works with games that have built-in support, but all the reviews from the flight sim buffs give it nothing but the highest marks.
