Tweeting To Order A Pizza Is Probably The Laziest Thing You Can Do

Starting on May 20th, there will be a new definition for a first-world problem. For those too lazy to order pizza delivered to their door via an app or (god forbid) talking to a human being on the phone, a new option will exist: tweeting a pizza emoji to @Dominos.

In an interview with USA Today, Dominos’ CEO boasts about the frictionless order system being put in place: “It’s the epitome of convenience...we’ve got this down to a five-second exchange.” Just imagine! Ordering a thousand-calorie fast-food extravaganza without the hassle or inconvenience of opening an app, or finding a phone number, or really without having to think at all. Doesn’t the #future sound wonderful?

Of course, there are no details surrounding the ordering system, like how Dominos know which pizza to send, or where, or how much things will cost. But let’s just pretend that this isn’t a cynical PR move, and instead get tweeting those pizza emoji to score ourselves some sweet, sweet double-cheese deep crust. [USA Today]

They’ve already got your personal info (name, address, phone number) ,so once you add your twitter handle and fave pizza (they probably already know that too) then they’ve got everything they need for this to work.

Cost will be the same as it was last time, not that you really care you lazy bastard.

Now if they could only fix that ‘last yard’ problem where you have to *sigh* haul your ass out of your couch to *groaaaaan* answer the door and *uuuuugh* talk to the delivery person. Drones get us partway there.
