A couple new products launched from U.S. Robotics this week, and while they aren’t exactly ground breaking, it makes me happy to know that U.S. Robotics is shipping products again (I’m an old fan from the 1200 baud days). Both are 802.11g adapters, the first a USB 2.0 version for laptops or PCs, and the second a ‘Wireless Gaming Adapter and Ethernet Bridge’ which works as a wireless ‘wire replacement’ for any device that has an ethernet port. Wireless bridges have been around, but the $109 MSRP isn’t too for a 802.11g model. It looks that the bridge is just a single device, though, so you’ll need an established wireless base station elsewhere; it doesn’t have a paired unit receiving on the other end.
