In a telling remnant of iron-fisteded imperial tendencies, armed police took down a friendly robot who was taking a lovely stroll near the UK’s Parliament building. The Dalek, hand-built and operated by one Ken Meikle, was built as a project for his brother, who has Down’s Syndrome. Apparently the remote control robots are fun to drive on the sauce:
‘They are quite difficult to operate, and the huge dents in our living room wall are proof you should never get behind the controls of a Dalek with a drink in you.’
