Probably the most vaporous of all the gadgets we’ve covered on Gizmodo in the past year have been the so-called ultra-personal computers. These are the ones which cram a full-fledged PC running Windows XP into something slightly larger than a PDA. The release dates for the OQO (pictured at right), the Tiqit, and the Vulcan have all been pushed back and pushed back, raising questions about whether any of them might ever be released. Ross Rubin (whose column, by the way, has been consistently excellent these past few weeks) got to play with a Tiqit, which I suppose we should take as a sign that it’s actually going to come out someday.
