Like the JamPlug, the GuitarPlug is another smart design that skips the amplifier entirely, instead routing monaural audio from a guitar’s quarter-inch jack to your PC via an on-board USB connection. DVForge is also releasing the MicPlug, which is the same idea, only with an XLR connection on one end. Presuming these work with a minimum of fuss, I could easily see dropping $50 on one—as could anyone who uses software guitar amp simulation these days.
