Using an iPad to Photograph Stuff Is Only Okay If It Saves Your Life

Here we have Tom at a girl's softball tournament, taking pictures with his iPad. Ordinarily, we'd scold him for that kind of behavior, but since his iPad saved him from death by foul ball, we're going to let it slide, just this once.

Sure we've said time and time again that taking pictures with your iPad is a major faux pas, but safety always comes first. Although maybe that foul ball was the universe's way of telling Tom to cut it out. [CNET]

Knock it off. It was funny the first time, it isn't anymore.

Sometimes the only camera you have at hand is your iPad, so you get to use that. Not everybody has the money to get an iPad an a camera and a cellphone, and everything at once. Not everyone has the expertise, the time, or the ability to use other stuff.

An iPad is large and cumbersome to take pictures with, but on the other hand, it has the largest visor in any device, so framing an image is pretty simple.

Disclaimer: I have a cameraless G1 iPad and a Note 10.1. I use the camera on the Note from time to time, but most frequently i use my phone, because it's what's in my pocket.
