The USR5410 802.11b+g PCMCIA card from U.S. Robotics isn’t for everyone. It’s fast talking, getting high network performance scores in most reviews, but has a bad mannered install process and slipshod documentation. It will only associate with Windows, too, snubbing Mac and Linux. Fortunately, for what it lacks in grace and temperament it makes up for by being a very cheap date: Buy.com has the USR5410 for $39.99 with a $20 MIR.
