UStec has released their take on a Mac mini-based home media server solution by offering their proprietary ethernet and wiring system with a custom, mini-friendly holster. The UStec systems effectively establish a wired infrastructure throughout your house for sharing media and phone connections and include a UStec router along with commercial grade wiring and wallplates. While pricing isn’t available, it’s painfully obvious that you must purchase the UStec tecCenter through a certified dealer—the system is designed with the intent of being built into new homes rather than existing ones anyway, so this may not be a bad thing altogether.
