Verizon FiOS, the shining hope in cable and Internet providers, is finally rolling out an update to their guide. The new release, Version 1.9 of the Interactive Media Guide, will bring an updated (and finally widescreen!) guide, an all new search, DVR enhancements, better support for 3DTVs and more. Not everyone will be getting the snazzy new guide (Motorola 7100 and 7232 set-top boxes as well as Cisco HD capable devices will though) so be sure to see if your box is capable.
Also! It’s only currently rolling out in Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and Harrisburg. Other markets will get their fill in the next months. I’ve been an admirer of FiOS TV from afar, this makes it look even more delicious and me even more jealous. [Verizon FiOS]
