Verizon customers keen for some 3G QWERTY-lovin’ can hitch a ride on the new BlackBerry Curve 3G train, with the 9300 model being announced today for the carrier. It’ll cost $30 after a $100 mail-in rebate—not bad.

RIM announced the phone back in August, and confirmed it to be running the new OS 6.0—though Verizon has said their 9300 will ship with OS 5.0 (6.0 will be available as an update later.) It’ll have the usual RIM finishing touches as well, including the optical trackpad, GPS, Wi-Fi and microSD card slot, expandable up to 32GB.

On sale at Verizon from the 16th of September, it will be available in charcoal or fuchsia red. It’s worth mentioning that for $70 more, the touchscreen slider Torch can be had on Amazon instead—though not on Verizon.
