Siena is a lioness who recently got severely mauled by a buffalo. It's so bad that looking at her standing up with her leg almost ripped off her body looks like a surreal scene from a zombie movie. Happily, the vets rushed to save her life so she could take care of her cubs. WARNING: VERY STRONG IMAGES.

According to Barcroft TV, on April 4 "Dj Njoroge from the Kenyan Wildlife Trust was flown from Nairobi to the nature reserve where the injured lioness stood with her cubs." With lions in danger of extinction, every life counts at the Masai Mara Nature Reserve in Kenya.

Holy shit. It is incredible that it could still manage to stand on her feet (paws?) with such a deep and large wound.

If hit by the ball during my baseball games I'd just lay down and cry myself to sleep.

Seriously though, I'm happy to see this guys helping poor Mrs. Lioness here. After watching so many news about animals left to die because of hunters looking to make some money out of their ivory and such, one needs to see that there's also people doing their fair share helping animals in need.
