Brighthand reports that virtual keyboards, where you actually tap onto an image of keyboard that’s projected by laser onto any flat surface, should be coming out later this year. The idea is that these laser projectors will come built-into PDAs and cellphones, so you’ll be able tap out text messages and emails from nearly anywhere. And from what we’ve heard, they actually do work, though you probably wouldn’t want to write your novel using one.
