Vizio's New Ultrabook: The Prettiest PC Just Got Power to Match

Ever since affordable-TV-mainstay Vizio entered the PC market two years ago, it's been the proud producer of some of the best-looking laptops and all-in-ones this side of Cupertino. With its latest refresh, it may have finally found the function to match its form.

Both the 15.6-inch Vizio Thin and Light and its 24-inch all-in-one cousin have been boosted to 1080p full HD touchscreen displays, along with the latest Intel Core i7 inside. They'll also include Intel Iris Pro graphics, an integrated solution but one that's up to reasonably heavy lifting (and the same that you'll find in the 15-inch MacBook Pro.

The biggest upgrades will hopefully come in some of the interface details that hampered previous Vizio PC products; the trackpad and keyboard experiences have been lackluster in years past, but received special attention in this year's refresh. Other details—a listed 7.5 hours battery life, the promise of a bloatware-free Windows experience—are welcome, but it's the usability improvements that will count the most.

There's no word yet on pricing or availability for the Vizio 15.6-inch Thin and Light or the 24-inch All-in-One, but that's just fine. It's worth waiting for if it means finally making the specifics as stunning as the shape.
