Wacom, the people who insist that their product is not pronounced whack ’em, but can’t stop me even if they tried, has a new portable tablet out called the ‘PenPartner’, designed for the mobile digital artist, or businessman who really needs to draw circles on spreadsheets. With a much lower resolution than some of the other, more expensive pads, though, it’s questionable just how much portability is worth. I have a Graphire 3, and it’s just big enough and no bigger, plus it totes just fine. With a tiny 8x6cm drawing area, the PenPartner would drive me crazy.
