We’ve got two TV shows based on Robert Kirkman’s zombie comic The Walking Dead, and now Kirkman’s exorcism comic Outcast is getting the small screen treatment as well. And if the latest trailer is any indication, it’s going to be a moody ride, punctuated by terrible violence.

Cinemax showed this new trailer at its NYCC Outcast panel, and just like the trailer we saw at San Diego Comic-Con, it’s definitely setting up a mood. Patrick Fugit plays Kyle Barnes, a man whose loved ones have been plagued by demonic possession ever since he was little. After living as a hermit for some time, Kyle finally comes out of hiding to unravel the mystery of his strange ability to affect demons, with the help of Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister).

Kirkman co-created the series with artist Paul Azaceta. Outcast premieres on Cinemax in 2016.
