We’ll never forget that Syfy pulled the plug on Farscape and turned down the opportunity to pick up the newly-cancelled Firefly — but at least they’re trying to make up for it, judging from this funny, action-packed clip from the new show Killjoys. Which looks just the way you’d expect a space opera from the creator of Lost Girl to look.
The above clip, debuting exclusively at io9, shows off the main character, Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), who’s a top-level Killjoy — a bounty hunter executing warrants throughout the planetary system known as the Quad. And this clip shows off just why she’s such a badass. It also introduces us to her two sidekicks, John Jaqobis (Aaron Ashmore) and D’avin (Luke Macfarlane).
Killjoys is the work of creator Michelle Lovretta (Lost Girl) and Temple Street Productions (Orphan Black). The show debuts on Syfy on June 19 — check out some super high-res photos from the show below:
