Proud owner of an Android phone and a Google Cardboard VR headset? Spectacularly bored on this Monday night? Then you’ll probably want to watch OnePlus unveil its latest flagship killer, through the glorious (and only slightly gimmicky) medium of virtual reality.
To livestream the launch, you’ll want to download the OnePlus 2 Launch App (Android only), and fire it up at 10PM Eastern, when the phone is set to be unveiled. OnePlus is promising a “new way to think about a product launch”, complete with promised VR Easter Eggs.
Thanks to a plethora of leaks in the last few days, we already know most of what’s likely to be announced: a $450 phone with Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB (!) of RAM, 13MP optically stabilized camera, and a fingerprint sensor.
If you don’t have a VR viewer handy, you’re not completely out in the cold: there’s a boring, 2-D, regular reality launch livestream also built into the app.
