What Are the Most Impressive Views Astronauts See In Orbit?

This high definition short is a fascinating document. Narrated by NASA’s Dr. Justin Wilkinson, it shows a tour of planet Earth as seen by astronauts, explaining what are the places that they first focus on while in orbit.

It starts with the coast of Namibia in southwestern Africa, where big red sand dunes are, according to all space cowboys and cowgirls, “one of the most beautiful sites that you can get when you’re flying”. And it ends in Brazil, where thunderheads swipe the Amazonian jungles.

It truly bewilders me. I mean, I just can’t understand how they manage to do anything up there. I wouldn’t be able to work in space for the first six months. I would be too busy looking through the window, with my mouth wide open. [notcot]
