What is life like for imaginary friends before they've been imagined?

This wonderfully fun animated short follows a crew of aspiring imaginary friends waiting to be imagined, and the frustration one of them feels when he fears no child will ever imagine him.

Sascha Altshuler directed Unimagined Friends as a bachelor film project for the Animation Workshop, supported by a team of animators and other visual artists. The result is a wonderful blend of 2D characters and 3D animation, as the unimagined friends wait to be fully fleshed out by a child's animation—and the woman looking after the children deals with her own frustrations, ignorant of the magical world around her.
