What the Next Google Play Redesign Is Probably Going to Look Like

If you've been itching for a redesigned Google Play on your Android phones, it's apparently been leaked. Droid Life managed to get their hands on what looks like Google Play 4.0 and everything is brighter with bigger pictures. It's nice looking! However much of the page layout has stayed the same.

The redesign is a nice improvement and fits more with the good lookin' Google apps we see now. The version of Google Play that Droid Life leaked is 4.0.16 and it's still unfinished as most of the new pages aren't even working yet. There's no word on when the new design will trickle down to users. [Droid Life]

DISCUSSION

I just wish the featured apps can be more informative and get updated sooner. In Apple App Store, I used to be tempted to purchase a new app just by looking at it at featured page. In Google Play, not so much. Sometimes an app can remain in featured page for many weeks and it gets pointless to keep checking every now and then. The main source where I get recommendation for good apps is supposed to be the app store itself and not various third party websites.
