It’s never been easier to quickly post a screenshot of your phone online for all to see but… wait, why the hell is this person posting screenshots when they only have 4 percent battery? Why aren’t they madly scrambling for a charger? Why?
The low battery icon in the corner of a screenshot really is enough to make the content a secondary consideration, no matter how good the Damn You Autocorrect is. It’s a brutal one-two: these people seem not to care about the fact they’re running out of battery, and you can’t help, either. Even plugging your phone in won’t change the color of the battery symbol on that taunting, static JPEG. These people are animals. [XKCD]
