When the probes finally arrive at the Gliese star system

What will it look like when we finally reach another star system with habitable planets? Here is one possibility.

Over on Concept Art’s Environment of the Week forum, Pixeltuner contributed the winning entry to one of last month’s challenges, which was to create images of the probes arriving at the Gliese 581 system. Gliese 581 is a red dwarf star with several planets, two of which are in the “goldilocks” zone, or an orbit that could make them habitable for humans.
