Not too long after I took over as editor at Gizmodo, the Motorola A630 sort of seemed to consume all channels of information. I suspect a lot of that stemmed from the fever pitch Moto was generating with their PR punnani, dropping little blurbs here and there, culminating with a mondo Manhattan swank party where almost everybody went home with an A630—one guy even sold his on eBay for like a grand, remember? Whither
So, like, where did it go, George? All the product pages have been pulled from the carriers’ sites. Amazon doesn’t have it. It’s gone! It’s like they had a full-blown product launch, sent out review units, pimped it to the Nth degree, then let it go tits up. Now all the focus seems to be on the Razr. Anyone from Moto care to comment?
