Next year we could be seeing cellphones with round displays, if Samsung has anything to say about it. The first thing that springs to mind is that it might be for some kind of wearable cellphone, wrapping around a wrist.
Samsung’s already shown off a prototype 4.5-inch flexible AMOLED display, which could be used in this new product, but I do have to wonder about the use of such a portable device. Could it be a phone that wraps entirely around the wrist? Some kind of tin can-shaped phone? A tablet that sits atop the head like a fez? [OLED-Display via Uberphones via UberGizmo]
