I give this spy cam enabled alarm clock a 9 on the 10 point scale of perversity. We're not going to ask you what you're doing to do with it. All we know is that its one of the first digital spy cam systems, and the first that can send its signal over powerline to a PC. It also does motion detecting, with Email and cellphone notification, as well as streaming video to any Windows Mobile 5.0 device. What would be a 10 out of 10 on the pervert scale? The waterproof, spy cam showerhead engineered in my very lively imagination. Until that one gets made, you can preorder this one for $330 in time for a november delivery.

DISCUSSION

I suppose the $350 price is aimed at the same people who can afford a maid. I can't think of too many other purposes for this device. Since it's power line you'll need a powerline to ethernet bridge somewhere else in the house. That can then be connected to a PC or better yet to the net so you can do your spying from work.

So if you want to get your neighbor one for christmas, don't forget to also get them a powerline to WiFi adapter disguised as a night-light.
