Yahoo has taken another baby step to becoming a little more media savvy with their purchase of Meedio, today. Meedio makes media center PC, DVR and automation software. Yahoo has purchased all of the intellectual property of Meedio and taken the talented Meedio development staff and put them to work on Yahoo! Go TV, a media center application. While Yahoo acquired damn near everything Meedio related, they didn’t get the actual products themselves. Therefore product inquiries can still be directed towards the Meedio team.
There is a bit of bad news, if you are a current Meedio Pro or Meedio TV user, the EPG data will no longer be available as of July 1.
