ZDNet reviews the first SmartDisplay

ZDNet review of the Airpanel V110 from ViewSonic, the first SmartDisplay to make it to market. We still can’t figure out who these are aimed at. SmartDisplays are kind of like wireless portable monitors for the home market, but they cost over a thousand bucks (you could get a decent laptop for that), the PC it’s being connected to has to run Windows XP Pro (something very few home users have), and because 802.11b’s bandwidth is too narrow, you can’t even curl up with a SmartDisplay monitor and watch a DVD.
