The AP review of the m:robe 500i tears apart Olympus's new flagship music player as "basically a shiny brick." While that could be high praise depending on context, it echoes my feelings about the 500i ever since I had my hands on it at CES: too big, too expensive, and too little camera from a company known for high-class imaging. I stick by my m:robe 100 judgment, though—that's one good looking little player.
