If you've ever found yourself in the situation where you don't have your cellphone on you, but, for some strange reason, you do have a Palm-based PDA, VoIP may be the answer to your prayers. A company by the name of MantraGroup has just released software for Palm-based devices that transforms the handy little PDA into a phone calling dynamo, provided your Palm can connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or EVDO. MobiVoIP, as the software is called, is available right now, but the company's sparse Web site doesn't say how much their totally earth-shattering software will cost, which is always helpful.
