Hot on the heels of their Miniplayer being copied, here's a rumor of the Miniplayer 2 being in development from Meizu. The Miniplayer 2 may have a 2.6-inch VGA screen (the old one had a 2.4-inch QVGA), a 533MHz processor and run Windows CE.

The other successor, the M3, has a 1.3-inch OLED screen compared to the M6's 2.4-inch QVGA screen. The M3 also has 16MB of PSDRAM, and will be available in 1-4GB sizes. The reason for the decrease in screen size and RAM is because the M3 will be music only—no video, and no FM radio. No official confirmation just yet, but this sounds promising for people who don't care for video. – Jason Chen
