I admit it: I'm a frequent floor-lounger ... so these interlocking cushions from Pling Collection would be ideal furniture for me. ZipZip's 30-inch upholstered pads have zips on all four sides, you see. So you can choose to make one huge floor cover, for, you know, generalized laying about, or combine them more sensibly into different chair-shaped things. Special pads even have a hole for a planter or a stowage pocket: handy for TV remotes, I reckon. Think of the possibilities!
Ah... I can picture sitting on them now. Designed by Sternform Produktgestaltung, they're made of Loden, which is 100% new wool, and come in four colors ranging from light gray to dark sand. Sadly, it's "price on application" time, so I suspect they might damage my wallet before they soothed my aching limbs. [Plingcollection via ApartmentTherapy]

Lumpy fun for Everyone!
Not too shabby, if the zipper is of the type (and it looks like these are a solid (what I'll call soft) plastic) that isn't hard to use or is uncomfortable to the touch. I've used some snarly zippers in the past.
very nice, these would be great around a hookah with friends.
This works great for those spontaneous Hugh Hefner bacchanalia's and orgy's always springing up. Of course i can only imagine what the one with the whole might be used for!!!
This might turn into a weekend project. Love the idea but I don't think I want wool as it would attract dust like a mo' fo'.
You've got to admit they do look kind of comfy. Hopefully they're not too expensive because they look like if ever wet they'll lump up into one place of the pillow and you'll have a hard time getting the cotton or the wool (which i doubt is whats inside) back to its original state.
I'd definetly buy it too even though i dont spend that much time on the floor i probably would if i had a room with these things for a floor.
This is for me.
My ex got all my furniture.
Here's hoping the designer remembers these are pillows meant to be walked on and thrown on the floor - I will gladly pay $25 per pillow max.
looks kinda like an arab Jalsa (seating) they are really chill.
I could so go for one of these things. My feng shui IKEA hybrid apartment will be complete!
cool as long as one of the lumps isn't the pet dog.
(submerged woof)
Someone tell the Sofa King! It's not just sofa fun, it's Sofa King FUN!
@ANoel:
Damn those Canadian women they always want 1/2!!
Oooops. I guess its not just the Canadian women.... :
Present Fem-Giz posters excluded of course.
Does NOT look comfortable.
@nutbastard: I don't think we need any more hippy furniture crowding up peoples houses.
My favorite, apple and melon. mix with a bit of honey for that extra long burn.
@donlphi: ...or just Sofun.
Must have. Our current ones are Sofa King Uncomfortable.
@Darrone:
Yeah and some hookahs even have a built in tray for de-seeding your "tobacco".
@Out2gtcha:
1/2?
HaHaHa... try... "what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine.
Hrm....This would be AMAZINGLY useful for my apartment...
Surely someone could go the DIY route and get a bunch of couch cushions or oversized pillows and fashion a pillowcase with interlocking zippers on the outside for the same exact result. Though, that does sound like quite a bit of energy to be expelled by someone who in the end wants to lounge around on the floor all day.
With enough of these, I can make my own padded room.
With enough of those you could cover the floor.
And with enough pillow-sized one-way treadmills and a computer vision system designed to detect pillows that have hit other pillows........
zomfct......
YOU COULD PLAY FLOOR TETRIS
@LastVigilante: I think velcro might be even better - easy to DIY, doesn't fail as often as cheap zippers, and allows for more abstract cushion placement.
I should totally do that.
I bet this would've sold more, and there would be more people reading this link if it was called iZipzip and it had a pocket for your iWhatever.
putting the "i" in front sells everything faster, instead of saying that a company is going "green", they should say they're going "iGreen"...That would help their stocks.
padded floor tiles?
I really like this idea. It seems to be pretty simple too.
perfect for the DIY padded room in your secret psych ward/dungeon downstairs.
good thing you're also rich, they're expensive.
