I used to work in a photo lab and have received a fair number of accidental shocks while removing the film from disposable cameras. Obviously I would not call the experience pleasant, however it is not even close to debilitating.

Oddly... the kids that never do school work, or skip school to do whipp-its and shoplift all day... receive no punishment what so ever.

It wasn't sticking into the flesh of my arm or anything, but I was bleeding.

@DustyButt: In the highschool I graduated from (this wasn't the case when I went there) if you miss three days of class unexcused, you loose a whole 10% of your grade. That's punnishment enough.

I was the kid that skipped half of my classes and still got B's so I can see both sides of that argument.

When I was in High school I passed along one of those shocking pens with my yearbook . It was great. Everyone who fell for it was really eager to pass it on to the next person and watch their reaction. I even was able to get a few of my teachers.

I once took apart my point-shoot camera in grade school to 'see how it worked', and discharged what I'm assuming was the flash capacitor. Second nastiest shock I've received so far. I think I was about 14 at the time, but it taught me an important lesson about how even devices that seemed relatively benign, and didn't use much power, could still deliver quite a jolt if you're stupid about it.

Yea, I brought one that I made that didn't look like a camera, I just took of all the body parts and wired straight to the capacitor to leads to school freshman year. Shocked a bunch of friends and got suspended for 55 days and had to go to court. So lesson, not the best idea, funny part is that I found this stuff out myself, didn't know this stuff was online at the time.

Jebus Christ, the po-po's reaction is massive overkill. But then that's the way this country is going. Massive overreaction to anything the authorities don't like, and they are capricious.

The song is Carly Comando - Every day. It was created for a time lapse video of a guy who took a picture of himself every day for a year. It's also used in the NBA "Where Amazing Happens" commercials.

One time, in middle school, I got caught using a squirt gun to squirt some kids who were bothering me during an assembly. The teacher confiscated it and that was that.

I'm so glad I graduated high school in 1990, before metal detectors and armed security guards and all kinds of ridiculous rules. We had common sense rules. No knives, no guns, no alcohol, no drugs.

I did this very thing five years ago at my high school. Thank god I wasn't expelled, but ended up being suspended for a week and did not face any penalties from the police (although, I was escorted around by one after they found it in my locker). I still agree, too, that it's major overkill. I didn't even use it on anyone (or threaten to).

I came up with the idea to throw some contacts on the case on my own, by the way.

i am in the school with this kid hes kind of a weird kid, he uses wheelz in the halls and runs through knocking people over so the only reason he ever got pushed or bullied was because he was pushing other people. im not one of those kids thats like omg a taser but i mean 600 volts and this kid would probaly use it so him having it is sketchy
